Nominet Nominet are the body that control and oversee the registration of British domain names. Recently Nominet mistakenly issued a number of invoices directly to our clients. This came about because although the domain name registration fees had been correctly paid to Nominet, they had failed to post the credits to the appropriate accounts and consequently their finance department erroneously issued direct invoices. These invoices should not be paid. Penn-Online Limited will issue renewal invoices at the correct time and these are the only invoices that need to be paid in respect of your domains or web hosting. The Domain Registry of America. A number of our clients have contacted us to query the activities of this company. Owners of dotcom domains are approached by this organisation who send an official-looking invoice advising that your domain is due for renewal and advising that you must renew. The company appears to be an American company who registers dotcom domain names, whereas in fact they are a British Organisation operating out of a flat in London. They are in fact NOT the registering organisation and the invoice is merely a scam to fool clients into moving their domains over to their organisation. Whilst not illegal their operation is wholly unethical and their invoice should not be paid. If you are a client of Penn-Online Ltd, we are the only organisation to which your renewal fees need to be paid. If you receive invoices relating to your domain name, hosting, or similar domain names, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
